Another Christmas is here and we bring more couples who found their cupids on Christmas. Jess and Pat met on the dance floor of their local pub on Christmas Eve. Fast forward many years, this couple is now happily married, waiting to celebrate their next Christmas together. Totally into the beautiful beach and yacht sceneries, they held their wedding ceremony at Chelsea Beach and their reception in Chelsea Yacht Club. Brought to you by Darin Collison, this wedding album has the right amount of romantic moments and feels that serenade your soul.
Jess’s dress was from Rue De Seine. Her makeup and hair was from Make Up With Me, shoes were from Zu and her antique earrings was from her mom. Her bridesmaid dress and skirts were handmade by a friend and the tops were from Kookai. Having already found a dress when she was on a trip in Queensland, Jess wanted her mother in law and her bridesmaids to come to a dress fitting so she arranged one in Melbourne. When Jess came out of the change room wearing the dress she liked, everyone cried so undoubtedly she thought that the dress was the one.
The proposal was really sweet. Pat recreated their first date right down to the same car he was driving at the time. Funnily enough, they had never been back to the same restaurant that they went to for their first date. Over the starry skies, he proposed on the pier where they had gone for a walk after their first date. You would think that Jess would have clued on to what was happening but it totally took her by surprise!
Going for a fairly relaxed kind of Boho for the ceremony as well as the reception with lots of fairy lights, Jess and Pat opt for a relaxed atmosphere where guests sit to the welcoming breeze as they witness them tying the knot. The marriage celebrant allowed them to exchange their vows, before the sweet kiss where everyone clapped with enthusiasm.
After the ceremony, they chilled off with some beer and had more shots around the area. Golden hues encompass each frame, bringing warmth and a new sense of belonging to these two. Some group shots of the bridal team were taken before more intimate shots followed.
Taking the Boho theme seriously, Jess’s mother sewed so many white cones for their white paper decoration, even nearly taking a year to make! Her mother in law made delicious take homes while her dad made the frames that held all their place cards. Quite a few other bits and pieces were created in some crafternoon sessions with her bridesmaids. To avoid wastage, a lot has been re-used for other weddings since which is nice.
The reception was filled with fun and laughter. Under the deck occupied with the string of light bulbs, Jess and Pat gather with friends and family to celebrate this most important day of their lives. Emotional speeches were given by both sides of the family and Jess and Pat couldn’t be any happier that their dream had come true!
The night ended with more lights and dances. Jolliness was seen on everyone’s face and, the couple was happy that their wedding night ended smoothly. Thanks again to Darin, Jess and Pat for this enlightening and delightful album!
